Elk Valley Family Society
The Elk Valley Family Society (EVFS) is non-profit charitable organization. In partnership with BC Housing, we currently provide a number of housing programs offering different levels of support in Fernie and Sparwood.
Second Stage Housing
Elk Valley Family Society’s Second stage housing is a private, secure, low-cost apartment unit where you can live safely and independently for 6 - 18 months. Staff are available to provide emotional support, safety planning and referrals.
Seniors & Disabled
For many seniors and people with disabilities, finding affordable and stable housing can be a challenge. We offer over 30 units of safe, affordable housing in Fernie and Sparwood to help seniors stay in their community, close to family and friends.
Affordable Housing
Affordable rental housing is for people who have a low-to- moderate income but may not be eligible for subsidized housing.
